Imo they are the best dry grip street tires for the money.
The tradeoffs I've noticed is:
really bumpy when going over bumps due to stiff sidewalls
a bit of road noise, not too bad though
turn-ins can be a bit "sloppy" feeling if the wheels arent really wide. Mine are 15x6.5 and I feel a bit of it.
A lot of people say it's not that great in wet, but imo it grips very well on wet pavements provided it isnt wet and cold outside... the rubber then just hardens up. Really, I'd have to say it only starts to feel unsafe going over puddles of water but that should be true for just about any tire.

Yes, the crappier pair of tires will more than likely lose grip before the other pair. If it's the rear end it can be kind of dangerous.

Trust me, azenis grip like no tomorrow. if you got generic tires for the rear, even if they are new they will more than likely kick out if you push it. Just go to an autox if you dont believe me.

Yes, I know all about what a horrible idea it is to put sticky tires on the front and crappy tires on the rear... "Oh look, I spun again... Oh look, I spun again..."
I have it on video, maybe I'll post it sometime - "How NOT to drive at AutoX"

I think I was there that day. The reason I remember is because my friend and I were wondering how you could spin an FF car like it was a mustang.
As for the Azenis, they're a great tire. I'm running them on my b20 integra, and just had my first autoX with them on sunday. Highly recommended tires.

Re: Re: (OnebadJdmEg6)
don't get them just for drag racing they won't hook up that well. Get some drag radials and a second set of rims and use those for the track and get 2 more generics for the front so you don't wear them out real fast. Don't get a good tire up front and a shitty one in the back.

i love my azenis... been driving on them for about 6 months... best money i ever spent. if you're not autocrossing though, i'd go with something else. these things suck for drag racing (trust me, i've tried...) stiff sidewalls + 45 psi = shitty launches. and watch out in the rain, as they do hydroplane easier than most other tires...

Cannot say anything bad about my set on the CRX. Took them brand new to BeaveRun and they gripped just fine using 35psi for a starting point. Wound up with 34 in the rears and 31 on right front and 30 left front. The car rotates better. Wear is rated at 200, which means you should get more than 2 events on track out of them. I'm paying ~$60 for mine. Would I use them on the street daily-NO.
The tires work well on damp pavement at lower temperatures. We have not any really hot days in western PA yet.
