Default Is this a fair price from a machine shop?

This will be their 1st ZC so I still don't know if I should go somewhere else. I'm in the western PA area. Sorry for the bolds I had to copy paste all that information. It's for a turbo ZC. Eagle's and Rollerwaves are the hardware. I already have a rebuilt/ported head that Earl (Laskey) did, to go on the block. The turbo is the IHI/Apexi dual BB....in case you're wondering where I'm taking it. Thanks guys...I really appreciate your input.

The total of $1470 was more than I thought it was going to be. Here is the breakdown:

1.$85.00 SPRAY WASH BLOCK AND PREP FOR MACHING 1HR
2.$127.50 CALCULATE DECK HEIGHTS mock up front and rear piston, and crankshaft assemble in block and then unassemble for machining. est 1.5HRS
3.$127.50 SET BEARING CLEARANCES 1.5HRS
4.$127.50 DECK BLOCK TO ZERO AFTER MEASURING 1.5HRS
5.$170.00 GRIND CRANK TO CALCULATED SIZES 2HRS
6.$170.00 BORE & HONE BLOCK TO PISTON MFG RECCOMENDED SIZE, PERFORMANCE FINISH
7.$85.00 CLEAN ALL PARTS FOR ASSEMBLY 1 HR
8.$170.00 BALANCE ROTATING ASSEMBLY 2HRS
9.$42.50 CHECK AND ADJUST PISTON RING GAPS UP TO 1 HR
10.$212.50 ASSEMBLE PISTONS, RINGS, BEARINGS, CRANKSHAFT, CONNECTING RODS INTO BLOCK 2.5HRS
11.$85.00 PREPARE FOR PICK UP AND SEAL UP PIN FIT RODS AND CHECK PISTON PIN CLEARANCE. WRIST PINS HAVE TAPER FROM CENTER TO ENDS. UP TO .00015.
CONNECTING ROD WRIST PIN HOLES ARE TOO SMALL AND WILL NOT ASSEMBLE.
12.$46.75 MAIN BEARINGS .25MM
13.$10.32 ROD BEARINGS .25MM
14. $5.17 THRUST BEARINGS

NOTE: THIS INVOICE REPRESENTS A VISUAL INSPECTION AND HANDS ON INSPECTION. THE MAIN HOUSING HAS NOT BEEN CHECKED FOR ROUNDNESS, PLEASE ADVISE. COST TO ALIGN HONE MAINS IS $212.50. THE OLD BEARINGS SHOW ALIGNMENT WEAR ON THE BEARINGS AND COULD BE AN INDICATOR OF ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS.

We charge like 400-600 to assemble blocks the right way..

That shop is doing it for what? A few hundred, in 2.5 hours.

Thats hardly enough time to do it. Most high end shops charge 1000, like you said.,
