Failed Smog.... :[
I bought a 91 Civic Sedan that failed smog :[ but w.e I didn't care I bought it for 400$ :].. Ok so the paperwork from the smog place said the following:
Comprehensive Visual Inspection: Tampered ( I'll explain why below )
Functional Check: Fail
Emissions Test: Pass
On the emissions control systems visual inspection/ function check results said it failed on the following:
Fuel Evaporative Controls Functional : Fail
Fuel Cap functional : Fail
The tampered part was because the previous owner went and cut the air tube in half and threw a kn filter on it. Well I went have replaced everything with the stock intake so thats all good.
As for the fuel cap I'm gussing I need to go buy a new one since this one isn't sealing?
Anyone have some advice? I'll be going by the place he had it smogged at so they can clear all this **** up for me and get re smogged :]

what state do you live in? i know here in MD, some people pull the bulb for their check engine light and SLAM their cars on coilovers, MD will automatically wave you because car is too low to go on the rollers, automatic 3 year extension
EVAP test.(LPFET) This test's the gas tank and Carbon cannister's line for any leaks. Going by your explanation this is the other thing you failed on or you have disconnected/removed the cannister.
The intake tube has nothing to do with the EVAP controls.
If it was the LPFET test you failed let us know and I can give you more info on how to fix it.
also says that I'm missing some switch and sensors too. The guy never explained this to me because I wasn't the one who had it smogged it was the previous owner who did.
