Default failed emmissions

so i went to take my 95 civic hatchback with a B18c1/b16 head to get the emissions done today and well it failed HC and CO it passed with FLYING colors but NOx it failed pretty bad

HC 200=fail i got 58
CO 1.07 was fail and i got 0.02
NOx= 2333 and i got 2747

so what the hell can i do i burn alot of oil think it could be be a clogged cat mabye? could running some seafoam through the engine fix it maybe run alot of octane booster so less fuel is burnt and NOx goes down?

or just get my exhaust welded up with the new high flow cat and be done with it?

Nox is usually due to very high combustion temperatures, such as a lean condition, defective EGR -if you have one-

you can enter all the numbers, especially the CO2 and O2 into the lambda calculator at this site.

Going thru the same stuff.

If I understand your post right, try adding a little more fuel. That should bring the nox down. CO might come up a little bit too, but should stay below the max limit...
