Default Failed Emissions Need Help Experts!!

I own a 92 civic cx with a 94 d15b motor. its the emssions where u go on a dyno and do an exhaust test.
Standards HC .80 CO 15.0
Readings HC 1.74 CO 39.1
Also are all one wire civic o2s the same no matter what year?

HC .80? What is the conversion factor for that? Usually the HC's are measured in PPM (parts per millionth).

those readings dont look to high how is ur o2 readings?


those readings indicate u most likely need a new cat

and one wire o2 ? what r u takling about u have a 92 civic it should be a 4wire obd1 o2 sensor

Yes a CX has a one wire O2 sensor...and yes change out your cat and make sure the timing is in specs.

well my car came with a one wire o2 so i was wondering if i can use the 88-91 one wire o2 sensor?

if the plugs are the same, yes you can use it. if not cut the wire and connect them together. If you are going to do that i prefer you to go buy a universal bosch O2 from your local parts store.

my step dads work truck wouldnt pass smog for **** so he bought some "smog passing" **** you pour into your gas tank and it passed. i was amazed. i think it was like $10. get a new cat, or borrow a freinds, run it for awhile before you smog it and keep your car on until you smog it [dont know if it really works, i did that when i had my 92 cx ref'ed] gl
