Default F20B Harness & ECU

Hi all,

First of all I have done quite a bit of searching here...lots of good information.

I recently bought a F20B engine (with all sensors) and transmission. The seller did not have any wiring. This will be going into a 'kit-car' type vehicle - so I have no existing wiring or ecu. This is where I differ from most of the accord/civic/prelude installs. All I want is OEM turn key reliability - no need for more power in a 1200-1400 lb car.

I am trying to determine the best and cleanest wiring options. So far these are my options:

1. Buy proper F20B harness and ECU (quoted $400 from engine importer).

If I go this route, can I use a Prelude gauge cluster? Any other issues with immobilizer?

2. Use a Prelude harness and make necessary changes to injectors, dist, ect...

3. Convert to OBD1 and use a P28 ecu with modified harness from???(anything obd1)

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Default Re: F20B Harness & ECU

Well, after doing some more research i've decided to go with a obd1 vtec harness and use my p28 ecu. I understand that I will have to do a few modifications but we'll start there.
