F1 technology??
When looking at all the turbo F1 cars of the past and seeing 1000+hp out of 1.5 and 1.6L engines and the engines revving up to 16000rpm. What is so important about this technology that can't be used in a modern honda engine? I know the engine are race engines and are only built to last one race or so but even in drag racing you don't see these kind of #'s. I know the rod/stroke ratio is wayyyy up there compared to a Honda engine, but it could be possible to acheive with custom rods/deckplate. So what is holding a Honda engine back? A poorer flowing head? Cams not making power? Bottem end/ valve springs unable to handle revs? I assume there must be alot of factors Holding our b,d,f,h,k series engines back or else it would have already been done.
Would a F1 engine be more comparable to a bigger displacement motorcycle engine?
Sorry for the stupid post but i have never seen this discussed before.

its called millions of dollars, they have exotic materials such as titanium. They do crazy stuff that nobody on this forum can afford, thats why u never see it or hear about it. We think benson and aebs is the top of the line for our motors. same with CP and pauter. They got their own cnc milling machine with big blocks of titanium and they analyze like every molecule and have like 10 guys at all times engineering this motor. Probably spend a 1000 bucks to have the ring lands .5 degrees cooler. Where as we spend a 1000 bucks to increase our hp by 2 fold.
$$$$ is what makes those engines so different.
