looking for the E07a engine.
i would like to find out as much as possible about the Kei engine honda uses. the E07a. you know...the one used in the honda beat?
It's a Kei engine so its limited by the government to 660cc's. what I wnat to find out is its design. what does it have in common with any US spec engines in design? how heavy is it? if anyone knows who could import one from a scrapped honda kei car? What I know are these things: (my info from the '93 beat)
-its an inline 3
-SOHC 4v head.
-656cc's (66borex64stroke)
-10:1 cr
-64PS@8100 rpm.
whats nice about this motor is it achieves that power in N/A configuration.
normally a kei engine uses a small turbo to get that. So are my assumptions right? a head design more like that of a D-series? is this using VTEC? There's a project I'm conceptualizing that this motor would greatly fit into without seriously modifying a US spoec engine and wasting too much money better spent on something like this that honda has already put together. You see, a honda CBR engine has more power and all that but its just too fragile for this project.
i appreciate any help.
thanks.
