Default Explain ELAVATION-----& appled to Drag Racing

can someone please tell my how it work and HOW IT WILL AFFECT YOU e.t ?
I live in Minnesota and I have now idea what elavation it is up here. Also wanna be ablt to compare times with people in California/Colordo. TIA

the higher the elevation, the less dense the air is, therefore you make less power.

At sea level, a pressure exists...atmospheric pressure, which is 14.7psi. Air has mass, so if you think about it, the air at sea level has all that air in the sky pushing down on it. As you go higher in elevation, this pressure decreases and becomes less dense.

You lose horsepower, but the Coefficient of Drag goes down as well....so It's very possible to have a worse E.T at a higher elevation with almost the same trap speed.....
