Default Exhaust System Issue

I got a 95 integra... i got a 2.5" exhaust muffler and 2 1/2 inch pipes running, w/o a resonator. Before i changed the piping it sounded pretty, now let me remind you that the pipes were previously stock and the size was in the range of 1 inch. With that being told, now when i get on it i cant tell any kind of performance difference, my mid range is ok and the exhaust sounds high pitched now.

What i want to know if I get a resonator put on will the high pitch go away and do you think i should be able to tell a performance difference???

ANY IDEAS, LET ME KNOW THANX

i would guess adding a resonator would reduce sound since that is what its designed to do.

it'll just make it feel smoother because of less sound. you won't gain any hp.

If you get rid of too much back pressure, you'll loose bottom end torque.
You went from 1" pipes to 2.5" pipes, and without a resonator. You got rid
of a bunch of back pressure. If you add a resonator back in the mix, you
should notice some low end torque return, but won't add any HP.
