Default Exhaust painting.

Just bought an e-ghey exhaust (i know i know..get what you pay for) for my beater 94LS teg. I am going to paint it to prolong the life of the exhaust since i live in NY and will be driving this in the winter. I was tossing around what psint i am going to use on the piping. I was thinking BBQ grill paint might work good. Protects up to 1200 degrees and should prevent rust. Anyone try this yet? The other alternative is header paint that protects up to 1500+. What do you guys this would work best.

The BBQ paint should work just fine. Probably cheaper than header paint, too.

Your exhaust piping doesn't get anywhere near 1200F, so either paint will work. Just follow the instructions, and apply several thin even coats.
