im looking for a new exhaust, my neighbor just complained about mine being way too loud and offered to help me on a quieter one, although i dont want to lose performance.
i have bigger diameter piping all the way back and an ebay muffler tip and its loud as hell, i looked on youtube and was thinking about buying a flowmaster muffler and just welding it on the back... trying to keep it cheap and relatively quiet, i still want some noise just not nearly as much. if anyone knows some good tips/mufflers/exhausts let me know please

specs on current exhaust?

 

im going to be doing something similar with my crx soon. Atm it just has a "turbo" muffler mounted mid car with a turn down tube. Its basically just a large resonator(straight through, no bends) I will be keeping this one and adding on the rear half of the exhaust and some other no name brand muffler, difference being the one added will not be straight through(cant hold up to light and see through). maybe flowmaster or similar auto parts store ones. in combination they should be quiet

for yours i would start with a new rear muffler like your looking at. just make sure its not straight through and it should help. If its still too loud put a resonator in mid. it will help eliminate the rasp we all hate.
