not if they have a cat :D both n/a and F/I cars can do that, it's just a matter of excess gas in the exhaust. Some F/I cars run anti-lags that spray gas into exhasut side of the turbo to keep it spooling, this can make flames i believe.
It's just a bucnh of unburnt fuel going through the exhaust from letting off the throttle, the fuel maps on those cars still feed it like it's at wot for a few revolutions after it's released, then I'm not exactly sure why it explodes, I know our old school bus would shoot atelast 10 foot long flames out the exhaust by my house everyday cuz they would shift right there.

Well if you have worn out ignition system, wires, cap, rotor, plugs, it will not fire and then when the ehxaust open on the next working cycle theres still a gas air mixture in the runner right after the valve, Or if it runs very too lean it can not fire and catch on the exhaust stroke of hte next cycle also.

I shoot flames after engine braking because of the way my fuel is mapped and my car is setup. W/ the ITB's running fuel off of vaccum causes rich conditions in certain places and it'll shoot flames.
