hey peepz im going to be getting an Y8 tranny with 43k on it, to throw on my Y7 block, is there anything different with the 2 tranny's that im going to be surprised with while installing this? like somethings not going to fit right, and im going to need to buy something else?

 

I believe nothing except for the shorter gearing, if you call that a bad thing.

 

You shouldn't encounter any problems with the swap. My friend has a '98 Civic HX with a '95 Si/EX tranny and it bolted up fine.

 

k thanx guyz... its just taht... i was planning on running the EX head on my DX block... and found out there s a hell of lot more **** needed to make this happen... then what i was orginally told... so i didnt want any surprisees.... thanx guyz

no not yet drew, i dunt have the money at the moment... i wasnt going to... but to make the manifold work i guess i have to....

 

yeah, I hate it when I need to get something but don't have the money to get it yet. I'm saving up for the 96-98 rear oem lip, but have to take care of a damn ticket first. It sucks.
