i'm selling my s-afc1 and i noticed it's plugged into some type of harness. the harness has wires coming out that are tapped all over the ecu. could i just unplug the s-afc from that harness and sell it, or do i need to remove the the whole harness? i plan on getting the s-afc2. wouldnt i just need to plug the s-afc2 into the existing harness?

 

undo the wires where they plug into the ecu wiring, but DONT cut the ecu wiring, you will not be able to sell it for nearly as mutch if you dont sell the harness with it.

 

couldnt i just buy a harness somewhere else and keep mine? i was looking earlier and it looks like it'll be a real pain in the *** to undo everything, there's electrical tape everywhere.

 

you can but the harness, i wish you could because i have an sfc that needs one so i have to make one.

Acutally if you just unplug it your car will run like crap and throw a cel because the map sensor wire is cut when the safc is installed. The map sensor wire will be hooked up to the white and yellow wires off of the safc, unhook the white and yellow wires off each end of the map sensor wire then just splice the map sensor wire back together. The rest of the wire you can just unhook as long as the factory wire has not been cut.

lets say i keep the harness. could i just plug in the s-afc2 or do i need to re-wire some stuff?

 

I think they have differant harnesses since they have differant features. ( i'm pritty shure that's right but not positive)
