Engine Temp Guage Stuck on Dead Cold???
I did some cleaning around my engine bay, installed an injen cold air, changed my oil, and some other misc stuff. When I went to start the car and let it warm up, I noticed my dash water temp guage wasn't moving. I drove the car around for a few minutes and it didn't move. The car doesn't run hot and the fans come on normally. Is there a sensor or connector in the engine bay that I may have messed up while cleaning? I don't think its a thermostat problem or the guage itself, but it has worked fine until today, so I'm kind of stuped. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks
I suppose it's a '98 ITR like your screen name??
The sender for your dashboard gauge is in the head, near the nozzle for the upper radiator hose. It's got only one wire. Did you pull it loose??
The nearby ECT sensor, & the fan switch (in T-stat housing) both have 2 wires.
