Default Engine swap questions ! PLEASE HELP !

i have a 97 civic HX coupe, i have been saving for quite a while now for a swap. i have enough cash to consider all swaps with the exception of the k20a, my question is whats the best way to go for an all around street car? don't want just a straight up drag, i like the way the car drives now, and don't want to loose the handling. i am definitly going with LSD, but not sure to go with B16A2, B16B, B18C (gsr) or (Ls) B18C (R), B20, H22A, H22-s, H23. i know that a R motor is ideal but is it really worth the 2 or 3g's more? couldn't you just throw a lil cash in one of the other motors to get the performance you want ? and would the H22 or B20 be to sluggish in the car and throw off the balance and weight to cause poor handling. i don't know much about the B20 but from what i hear it can make a powerful all motor swap ! and there is no preference to N/A or turbo leaning to all motor right now though i want reliability as well........ wow if you read all of this THANKS FOR THE TIME and definitely thanks for the input ! oh and please no haters just a noob who want help !

If you want all around street car I would go with a GSR, LS/VTEC or even a type R. If you go with a type R you need to leave the motor a type R. Don't change the cams or the manifold you know leave it stock. Now if you want to change cams and stuff like that I would think of a GSR or LS/VTEC because it's cheaper to buy then a type R so you can spend the extra cash on more parts. I think if you go with a GSR you'll love it. If you go LS/VTEC then you'll get a little more TQ but still get the benefits of the VTEC. If you go LS/VTEC I would use a GSR head and tranny with an LS or better yet a B20 block. With an LS block you'll be at a 1.8 and a B20 you'll be at a 2.0. You'll just have to make a plan of want you want the car to do and how much power you want to have before buying a motor.
