Default engine swap, please help im new

hello everyone, my names ash and i just wanted some advice on an engine swap.

ive tried the search button but couldnt find any definative ansmwers.

ive got a 1997 honda civic hatch with a d14 engine. ive just found a b18 engine and box with lsd, well its basically the front a crashed car so i have everything, including wiring loom, front legs, the lot.

what i really wanna know is, will it fit??? are there any major things i need to know before i take the plunge and buy the lump.

thanks, hope i havent done anything wrong as ive read a lot of the forum rules and some were a bit scary.

i think i may have put this in the wrong section. should it be in the 92 - 00 civic section? i cant find a way of deleting this post. sorry.

I like how you guys call the transmission a box, it makes my tummy giggle.

But seriously, It'll fit fine. Take a look through the FAQ in the 92-00 civic forum and it'll tell you anything you need to know

I wasn't making fun, I just enjoy getting to see the differences between languages.

Good luck with the swap

no worrys, i know you wasnt making fun.

but your right, it is weird how we call things by different names. axles over here are the long beams at the back of cars with the brake discs on. so when i saw you guys talking about different axles i thought thats weird, swapping axles because youve changed engines.

and surely gearbox is right isnt it? after all, it is a box full of gears.

hopefully let you know how it all goes soon.
