Default engine swap?

ok as my name indicates i know nothing about this stuff (be gentle). I have a stock 94 civic ex coupe. The kicker is that it is an automatic. my parents do not want me to drive a manual for some reason but i did convince them that i needed more power. I was not sure if you can swap in a b16a with an auto tranny or maybe a prelude engine would work. my other choice would be a turbo but i don't want that kind of pressure on my older car. if anyone has any good info please gimme a reply. Thanks

Well if you have to keep it auto, how about a B18B(94-00 LS Integra motor) turbocharged with an auto tranny.

I really wouldn't bother fixing up an automatic.
You could swap an LS motor though.

*edit* Because the LS is the only b-series(in U.S. at least) that come in an automatic tranny.

I'll second that vote.

just for simplicity sake and it seems as though this is your first and only car. Which is why I am not suggesting a Turbo (will give you more power & more headaches).

plus this is easier (relatively) and will give you about the same power as a B swap.

Good luck and don't break anything unless you want to know more about honda motors than GOD.

I vote B18b LS auto.

You don't need vtec. The B16 will have less torque too..

It would be an easy swap..

i would vote either b20 auto (mass torque) or b20 vtec auto. i have done both in 92-95 civics and they are very surprising for an auto.

I vote to go with a motor swap first b18b or b20. Superchargers can give you lots of headaches too, just as much as any turbo kit. But for any parts you do get, research them first, then check out http://www.importparts.com to start with.
