Default Engine stand bolts

I just went to 3 stores to find bolts but couldn't get the right ones. The two that I got, that go into the block are 5 grade but they would go in about an inch. I have tranny bolts (8 grade) but they only go in about a 1/4 inch.

I was wondering if I should use the 5 grade bolts because they go in an inch. Or should I use the tranny bolts that only go in a 1/4 inch? Which would be the safer route not damaging something if it sits there a while?

Also the two bottom bolts that go all the way through with nuts and washers are 8 grade too.

You want to go in at least one inch and use all 4 bolts. 2 would go all the way thru the block and put a nut on the other end. You especially need all 4 if you are bolting on the head on the stand.

Would the 5 grade bolts hold the weight of the block, head, and maybe some turbo stuff? Or should I still go on the search of some 8 grade?
