Engine stalling!! HELP ME please!
I think I have a clog in my fuel line or filter. Two days ago my car died at a light, and started fine no hesitation at all. Then almost stalled again at the next light. So I took it to Sears (Diehard batt.) and they checked the charging/starting and the batt. Everything ok. Today I am comming home and I stall again, starts up fine. Then the next time I slow down and stop in traffic it stals again. Now it is shuttering, sounding like its missfireing and when ever I give it gas it hesitates and acts like its being starved. Last weekend I get gas from a podunk gas station, because I was on the e-light. Place looked fine, new whatever didn't think much of it.
So I get home and have my neiboore start my car, I take the filter off and it starts and idles fine, no hesitation or studdering at all. So I am thinking fuel filter is cloged, NO CHECK ENGINE light ever came on, both days this has happened.
-Engine @ 55k burns a little little bit of white (oil) smoke @ redline, never had any problems till now (knock on wood).
--What I have done so far\checked.
-plugs 25k, some corrosion, electrode is cool
-wires need to be replaced OEM
-cleaned K&N filter (it was kinda blackish)

Well your car only has 55k on it. My Hondas have had over 100k when I usually buy them and most of the time it is never a clogged fuel filter that I have run into.
Im thinking it will be something electrical ... that is messing something up.
I know that you installed a VTEC controller recently and has run fine since now, but I can't say that it is or isn't the problem.
Just my .02 cents ... but I doubt a fuel filter will be your problem.
Any other suggestions?

I too don't think it's your fuel filter. Even with crappy gas, your car is too new to have any problems with it.
I think you are on the right track with dianosing the EFI main relay. Often times, changes in the temperature like we've been having in Texas (cool nights and hot in-car temps during the day) can stress the solder joints in the relay causing them to intermintently fail. Just take out the relay, carefully open it up and inspect the solder joints to see if they need to be re-soldered. Here's a link that'll help you do this:

I am goin to get a main relay from A1 here in town, none of the Honda dealers have them in stock. I will get a few and give that a try.
From what I have learned, this is a problem for Accords and Civics, this is due to a poor sowder point on the little board in the relay.
I will keep u guys posted. If anyone else has any other ideas let me know.

Ok I replaced the Main Relay with one I got for free at a local import yard. So far, so good. The one that was in there was made in Mexico, the one I got is made in Japan.
