Default Engine Rebuild ?

Here's the deal. I'm rebuilding my GSR block with forged internals (stock c/r) and the head with ITR cams and valvetrain as well as an AEBS intake manifold. What I want to know is that will these things be ok to put on before the engine break in so I don't have to switch them all out later?? Or will in screw up the break in process?

u uselly get it tuned right away... but i dont see y you couldnt get away with it on a stock gsr ecu, i recomend getting a wideband at least and watching the a/f.

Yeah, I'll have the wideband hooked up... I won't be driving it long or hard. I just want to be able to drive it back and forth from getting the charge piping and exhaust made...

That'll be wasting the ring's break in time. Have it towed there and break it in on the way back. Advance your timing so it's a little on the rich side and you should be fine. You aren't doing anything really major.

y would advancing the timing make it run richer?? advancing timing would make the egt's increase meaning leaner, i guess i could be wrong tho..

More ignition timing = more fuel. Retarding the timing makes the EGTs run hotter.

actually, watch your AF's when you change timing....no change
you want your AF's the closest you can get them to stoich mixture for break in. just run closed loop

Well, to avoid complication, I think I'm just going to keep everything stock for the break in. I'll just put everthing in after. Thanks!
