I am about to get another gsr with 93,000 miles on the motor. My question is, what exactly can go bad with a high milage engine. I am planning on turbo'ing the sucker right away.

What are some things I should check out first.

I know I will do a compression test, so can someone give me the range of numbers I should be satisfied with?

What exactly is a leakdown test and how would I go about doing it?

Does a gsr tranny go bad after 93,000 miles under regular driving?

A leakdown test is the same as a compression test you just find out what the compression should be on the motor. then you put compressed air in it see what the compression is and if there is a LEAK of air or leak down of any more than 25% of what the compression is you have a problem. a Leakdown test helps you because it is easier to find what the problem is. if you can hear air leaking from certain points you will know what the problem is in the motor. and a gsr comp should be in the 200's . no the tranny should be perfect.
