Engine probs....
I have a problem with my civic. Fully built b16 turbo.
When i go full throttle the car has no power. Exhaust sounds like there is a problem with the ignition. I cheked the spark plugs and the distributor. Everything is OK.
When i pudh down the pedal 50% ( not full throttle) the car runs good. Full boost and everything ist ok. Only when i go full throttle the car has no power but full boost :-(
Maybe someone has a idee. And sorry for my bad english
Greetings from germany
Thanks

Get yourself a new spark plug and disable the fuel injectors. Wear gloves and hold the plug with pliers that have an insulated grip. Connect the plug to each plug wire in turn and hold the threads of the plug against the valve cover. Have an assistant crank the motor briefly while you watch the spark. A strong spark is usually pink with blue edges. Once you've checked all of the wires, you'll know for sure if the ignition is ok. For turbo you should be running at least an upgraded coil to handle igniting the WOT compression. If the ignition is strong, then the problem is either with fuel supply or tuning/sensors. Next, check the fuel pressure at idle and at higher rpm's up to just before vtec engagement. Don't let the vtec engage with no load- that should be checked on a dyno. GL
