When i start the car i'm getting 1000 rpm on my after market cauges. Then i when i do acceleration to 3000-4000 rpm to switch to second gear, and then again 3000-4000 to go to third gear and while i drive it stays as 2000 rpm on third gear doing 40-50 km/h. And then when i need to slow down i go to N but my rpm won't go down it still stays 2000 rpm on N , even if i almost did stop. And after 20 mins of driving i got a light Check Engine. And everytime i start my car i see that light from the start. And now i'm loosing power after 4500 rpm (vtec doesn't work either), car won't go fast at all , it just slow down. I'm afraid to drive it. What problems could be? thx

please dont say vtech...its vtec...you have an idle problem by the looks of it..idle air control valve seems like.check the idle ait control valve

 

when you get the check engine light have you checked too see what code it is reading ....
