Default Engine noise!

When at low rpm's around 2600-3000k in any gear, I put the gas to the floor it sounds like there is something loose or vibrating from the driver's side of the motor, I already had the timing belt replaced so I know it is not that, and also at idle the injectors sound pretty loud (clicking noise) any way to fix this? I have a 95 si hatch with- 00 gs-r swap, itr cams, itr tranny,sk2 manifold,i/h/e,. If you need any more details to diagnose the problem ask me. I want to find out why it sounds the way it does.

Thanks

Scott

It might be your valves making that clicking sound at idle.

TTT. Still making noise it sounds like it is getting worse. Tought it was the distributor but the rotor and cap look ok. Could it be the bearing inside the distributor has gone bad?

The injectors are noisy, no fix for that. As for the noise above and beyond injector ticking, take a methodical approach to isolating the cause. Take off the drive belts one at a time, starting the engine after each belt is removed, to see if any belt driven accesory is the cause of your noise. If that does not eliminate the noise, look at the water pump and timing belt idler (tensioner) pulley. Put a long screwdriver tip on the water pump housing with the engine running , and put your ear on the handle. Does it sound like the noise is loudest there? Put the tip of the screwdriver on the timing belt idler pulley bolt and listen there. Using these steps, you should be able to determine the source of the noise.

Try taking a screw driver or peice of hose. Place the flat end of the srew driver, or one end of the hose on the head. The handle or other hose end against your ear. With the engine running and listen, moving it around to different places on the engine/head, injectors, ect...

Noisy injectors, "can" also be a sign of too much fuel pressure. However, a rich condition would be present...
