car was running fine and tandy as always until today.....

had been driving around for about 10 minutes, as i pulled into a store to do some shopping....approx 20 minutes later, i start the car....it will turn over and then just shut off, a couple more trys, and shes started...but the exhaust note a kinda of prrrring noise coming from it, and the same noise from the engine, after that i get a CEL as well

and now when i shift gears, and punch the gas, you can tell it is hessitating quite a bit, any ideas what it could be ? i'll check the code tomorrow, but im just looking at getting some guesses on what it could be for now...
