on the way home from work today i was coming up to a red light and i am in 5th gear going about 45, i start to slow down and get to about 30 when the light goes green so i drop it into 2nd and the engine started to rev up then i lost almost all power and it made this crazy sputter sound, well the whole way home everytime i hit the gas it suptter sputter sputters till i get up to speed then it rides ok. It is idling fine, i checked the spark plugs and 2 thru 4 had a liquid on the tips that go down into the cyclinders. I hope someone may have an idea of what is wrong, what a christmas present (so you know my internals are stock)

 

Hrm, what color was this "liquid" You could have a blown headgasket or fried rings. One of two things you have oil in your system or water. Is you car smoking? White or Blue? Or black?
