Engine Firing order Questions
I know the firing order is 1-3-4-2...but what I don't understand is...don't cylinder 2 and 3 compress together and 1 and 4 compress together? I know both are true...but don't understand why don't the plugs fire in snyc with the how the cylinders compress.

Nope, it's a 4-stroke engine. They fire every other time, not together.

when 1 is on the compression stroke 4 is on the exhaust. both may be at the top of the cylinder, but they are on different strokes. at this same time...1 being at just before tdc, 3 is on intake, 2 is on combustion.
