when i get into my car and start it there is no cel but after driving to about where the temp is at normal, the cel comes on and its the ect. after i shut the car off its like it restarts. please help.

 

what car do you have?

 

honda civic with an integra type r.

 

check and make sure you are getting a good contact where the sensor is

yeah check the wire Make sure there isn't any damage to it internally(resistence of it) or externally(open or frayed wire).

 

the wire looks good and seems to be in the connector good. i still don't know why it keeps doing this.

 

It's possible the sensor is bad? Maybe it goes to open-circuit when it gets hot?
