Default engine build options

i have three different motors in my garage right now, and i am wanting to build one of those, and i dont know what to do. i do know that i am wanting to build the b16 and build a bastard child that would be a good n/a motor. i have a jdm b16a rotating assembly. b18a1 full motor and a b20a5 full motor. what are my options with these motors and what kinda power am i looking at?

you could do ls-vtec setups or stroke the b16 and make decent power either way

depends on what your goals and budget is. what do you want to use the setup for? Daily driving? strictly sticking with all motor?

what do you want the motor to do? if you want it to spin up to 9k rpm
use the b18 bottom end and get some valve springs. if you want to use
stock parts build the b20. it realy depends on what your budget and driving
habits are like. if its a weekend warrior and you have a a daily driver
it shouldnt matter how wild you go. you could run 12-13:1 compression and
cams that lope so hard that poeple eyeball from intersections away.
use the search button and check out what other poeple are doing.plan a budget
and plan on going over that budget becuase somthing always happens that
you were never expecting. expect problems the wilder you go and have
a good job or good credit preferabley both.

what i am looking to do, is build a stong lil motor. i am wanting to put down about 350-400hp. i know that i probably will go with boost. but i just decide on what motor i want. it will go in my 91 integra ls. money is no thing, and i do have a quite of bit set back for this project and i also have a 2nd job just for this car. i now have a complete b16a with itr pistons, complete b18a1, and b20a5. i am looking to have the motor finished by spring of 2008. i am in no hurry for it now.

then start with sending one of your blocks to be sleeved and decide on compression. decide on how high you want to rev it and how big you wnt to go 1.6-2.5 liters. buy forged rods and pistons according to deck height and bore. cams, springs, and headwork to the b16 head. that should be strong enough to handle almost what ever you want at that point.
