engine
well first off, ls/vtec can last very long as long as it is built right, second your motor choice depends on what you wanna do for example ls isnt that good for na, but ls is way good for turbo
You make no sense. Better in what way? First you are comparing the LS vs the LSVTEC, thereafter you compare the b18a1 and the b18c1??? Where is your logic?
which is better ls or ls/vtec? i have heard that the ls/vtec won't last long, is this true? also is it better to go with a b18a1 block or gsr block?
seeing that this is a tech forum (technical) i think its safe to ask which is better. what else could i possibly mean??? those are actually a series of questions, see how they are broken up with question marks, that means each question stands alone. so each needs a separate answer, does that make any sense, the usage of puncuation was applied, but obviously not noticed by you.
Let me make it clear to you. Simply asking what is better means jack. For what application? reliability? hp? daily driving? autox? drag? top end power? lower end torque? better with stock internals? upgraded internals? There are too many things to consider.
I'm sick of seeing questions like, which suspension is better? which engine is better? Which one is better doesnt say anything other than that you havent done any research, or you dont know why you are getting it in the first place.

If it's vague general opinions you want...then you shall have it. LS/Vtec doesn't make much sense IMO, nor is it overly reliable. If you'd like a fairly powerful and reliable engine and don't mind spending some coin then get a b18c1 swap.
well maybe the question wasn't meant for you to answer. and evidently i wouldn't be asking the question if i did do my research, now would it? maybe this is a part of my research, and the question wasn't specified so it meant the engine as a whole, is that better, the pros and cons, better which is a better engine to put in your car the ls/vtec or the ls? so consider the engine as a whole and not what application or any other thing i didn't specify anything like internals, or upgrades, nor power so basically you are reading into it too much. make sense. read timonex answer, maybe you should get some pointers from him, he seems like a good guy, who knows how to answer questions. thanks timonx
