Default engaging clutch doesnt move the car..

quick lil question, yes i know how to drive extremely well...

if i hold my clutch at the engagement point my motor bogs pretty hard and littlerly i gotta take like 5-10 seconds for the car to 'walk off the clutch' .. it just has no "ummphhh", almost making u want to burn it a lil, again im not stupid somethings not right with the car lol... my idle is about 700 is it too low? is my clutch goin? whats up with that?

edit: b16 crx with y1 cable if this means anything

700 is a good idle...sounds like your clutch is gone if it just doesnt have any grad to it...

If the clutch were slipping the engine would rev when you try to engage the clutch. You say it 'bogs pretty hard' but what exactly does that mean?

Yes I dont think its slippin JUST YET...

by bog i mean the obvious when engaging the clutch at a stop the motor goes to stall...
but holding the engagment point the motors at like 200rpms and it just cant kick itself off the clutch"...

its hard to explain and im trying to not make myself look like retard explaining hahaha

still stock clutch bought the motor with 40xxx, currently has 70+

So you're saying it bogs when you reach the engagment point, and then continues to bog even after you've let the clutch out all the way??

no no im saying that the "bog" is just the normal coming of the clutch about to stall the car...

the problem is, it WONT come off the clutch unless i give gas, no matter what, or how long i hold the engagement point...

When it bogs, try disengaging the clutch rather than hold the engagement point. Does it still remain somehow, partly engaged?

Has your clutch suddenly become much more 'grabby'? So it won't slip to prevent stalling the engine??

ooooo that one MIGHT be a symptom...
if i said it felt SLIGHTLY "chattery on a downshift" would that mean its 'grabby'??..

I'm sorta thinking about a damaged clutch disk; maybe stuff is coming off the disk so it's kinda harder to control the engagement.

The only time I've ever had anything like this was a broken spring in the hub. Mine just locked up solid & wouldn't do anything. Pretty much like a broken clutch cable. But I guess sometimes you can just get smaller-scale damage??
