I was driving yesterday and i had just hit Vtec and the brake light came one, i pushed down the handle just to verify that it was not up, and it was actually down, then i shifted into second same thing, third same thing once again.
The brake is not engauging but the light is coming on. What could be happening, the light is only doing it while in Vtec at high RPM's.
Here are the possiblities that Waffles and I have come up with:
1. could be a wiring issue? I dont know how but it just may.
2. Ebrake handle is actually lifting slightly enough to make the light turn on.
3. Ebrake cord is loose causing the light to come on due to the tension put on it while accelerating( g's).
Hopefully this is enough info for someone to maybe give me a possible problem, or maybe even a solution, I have personally never heard of this and neither has Waffles. Hopefully someone may know.
Thanks
Nick

if you're not low on brake fluid then replace the brake reservoir cap. this is a common problem (I have it too).
Unplug the wires for the brake fluid cap. If it still does it then you know its not caused by a faulty float.
Unplug the wires for the handbrake switch. If it still does it then you know its not a faulty switch.
If it still happens with both of these unplugged, then you've got a short to ground somewhere...
