I have a 2002 civic and I am almost done piecing together my custom turbo. I have a returnless fuel system so for the fuel set up I went with RSX-S Injectors(330cc) MSD Inline fuel pump, aeromotive Digital FMU and VAFC. But what I was told is that the vafc would be manipulating my map, so when I use it to lean out the fuel it will throw off my timing because it would still be on a fuel map for N/A.
IM switching out the VAFC for an Emanage but by using the emanage to tune the fuel,injectors and ignition directly will the FMU be doing anything or just be useless,Maybe like an overpriced FPR?

 

Nope, the FMU will be useless if you get E-manage.

No, you need to do research on how stuff works. An FMU is not adjustable, it will raise fuel psi a certain rate for every pound of boost it sees.
