Default Eletrical help!

My wiring for my headlights are all funked and chopped up. I saw this piece with 2 black wires hanging from it. What is it? Please help.

Its a common ground point for a couple of eletric circuits. I dont know what circuits though. Just mount it to the car with a bolt.

that's a ground tighten the bolt and look for cut wires

(it could be a cut 'loop' too, dunno why - but it could be...)

check both wires for continuity to earth/chassis in any case...

if no continuity - you probably should earth them, and TIGHTEN that bolt!
