Electrical Troubleshooting Question
OK. So I've been suspecting that I have had some electrical probs with my Civic.
I have one of those batt. charger/tester units that can test an alternator.
I have a new battery in the car (just bought last week)
During an alternator test, this is the code results I get on the tester:
Car idling, nothing else on: Alternator Green, or Good.
Car idling, radio on, nothing else: Good
Car idling, radio on, headlights on: Good
Car idling, radio on, headlights, wipers on: Alternator Bad
Car idling, radio on, wipers on: Good
....., radio off, headlights on: Good
....., radio off, wipers on: Good
....., radio off, headlights on, wipers on: Bad
So...... what's going on here?

thats wierd,
so.. why did you test it in the first place?
is your car acting funny or you just wanted to try out your new gizmo?
Get a multimeter, you WILL need it to properly diagnose your electrical system.
Check what voltage you are getting at the battery terminals with the car running.
it should be at 12-14volts.
if it's not at around 13.6-14.4v, then it is not charging the battery(but it doesnt charge the battery every second the car is on ,so sometimes it will be in the 12's).
let us know what you get.
