So I recently just purchased an acura el cluster for my 98 coupe which the cluster looks amazing the only issue is that when I start my car up the km/h shoots up to 50.. Now I was sure to be gentle when swapping it out withy auto cluster an when I plug the auto cluster back up it works perfectly fine what can be the issue??

P.s. My car used to be automatic and I still am using the auto ecu but I don't think that would be the problem would it??

 

Most likely, or someone took the needles off for some dumb reason, and didnt put them on back right..either tinkle with it, trying to get it to work. I got the el cluster, looks perfect, get the ctr carbon fiber overlay if you have the money, absolutely stunning to look at!

 

Get the manual ecu, you must hate seeing that cel for the tranny lol

 

Yea I'm trying to find that overlay I really wanted the cdm sir cluster but this was the next best thing... And u said most likely ru saying its most likely the ecu

 

What do you mean by cel and yea I was holding off on the ecu cuz when I get my swap it would come with ecu

 

Well i actually lost train of thought, i have other things going on..either the ecu is tripping with the cluster( doubtful) or the cluster was messed with. Either the needle was taken off, or the cluster is messed up

 

Check engine light. Your car is manual now right? You should have 3 codes, shift solenoid, lockout clutch, and linear solenoid..i did the swap, and those are the 3 codes you will get.

 

Ohh idk I just know the light is on and yea I can't stand looking at same when I was in drive and neutral at the same damn time lol... And yeah that's what I'm thinking might just send it back to the seller so he can check it out

 

Hahahah, thats funny. Now much you buy it for? Mine was 75 bucks on ebay, and you can get the carbon fiber overlay at icbmotorsports.com for like 21 bucks.

 

Damn I got it for 156 shipped and I checked icbmotofsports I believe they raised the price

 

Dammm man lol, that sucks! I just checked, they want 50 now. You can check anywhere else and probably pay less.
