After getting to look at your ECU Pics I just want to know. Did you solder the SST EPROM directly to the board without the use of a zif socket?

I doubt that you can blame anything but your lack of experience on this one. You may want to think about getting rid of some of that extra solder around the EPROM Chip pins. Unless that's just the flash. It looks like pins 26 and 27, possibly 28 are almost soldered together with overflow. You may find that to be a problem as well if the solder is close enough to jump. Again it may just be the lighting, I don't want to doubt your skilz.

How do you plan on tuning that if the chip is soldered to the board?

Not to mention if he kept the soldering iron on the chip foot a long time, it can overheat the chip. beginners tend to do that.

This is the only email I have from you...sent to us on a Sunday, we replied to you on Monday at 10am (less than one hour after my employees come in). It says nothing about a 1720 kit...

The parts you mentioned are part of our chip kit (those are what we call “USDM extras”), which you did not purchase. You ordered a single basemap chip and VTEC conversion parts, which do not come with the USDM extras.

and i got a question!!!

what gave u the dumbass ideal to just solder your sst in the board like that??thats straight ghetto! not to mention it looks like u welded the **** to the board.

I made the same statements above and I asked that same question about the SST and he doesn't seem to want to respond. He's content in dragging a good guys name through the mud for his own lack of knowledge and mistakes. Xenocron should not have to come on here and defend himself against idiots like this guy who shoots first blames others later.

Well he could be a man and admit that he was totally wrong and make a public apology. But I guess it's easier to place blame and run. Coward

Maybe so, but I think it may also have to do with guys like you. Coming on here pointing fingers and blaming folks who have done nothing but help the growth of the sport compact/import community. It's threads like this that probably drive some of the real technical guys away. I don't know any professional that wants to have there reputation drug around buy a nobody on a web forum?

It's cool that you are taking some (All of the blame) Next time you have a problem show some class and maturity and discuss things with the guy before you go public!

Cheers

i dont care! im wondering how u plan on tuning your **** if u cant get a emulator in there?and how doing a chip change?now that u got it straight in the board i know u got a very very good chance of lifting the pad when u try to desolder it.AND IF U UNDER STOOD U NEEDED A ZIF socket why didnt u use it?and your soldering looks like an 8 yo did it u need to take more pride in your work.

WTF>>PERO NO ME SALIO DE LOS COJONES
