What exactly is this. I am getting a hondata and getting my car tuned sat. I need a p28 ecu that is socketed, this much I know. What is socketing though?

 

a socket allows you to change to different chips by just pulling them out and putting them in. if u didn't have a socket everytime u wanted to change chips u would have desorder the chip and then resorder the chip u want to go in... hope this helps
