k.. i have heard that you need to get a chipped ecu for a stage 2 cam in an sohc non vtec motor..now..i dont know if this is entirely true. not enuff fuel..and same pressure isnt gonna make the power increase?.. help!! thanx

not necessarily true. you can get by on stage 2 cams without a chipped ecu. i'm not too sure how well the car will run, but it can be done. if you're running stage 2 sticks though, you will probly need the appropriate valvetrain to protect the head. dual valve springs and titanium retainers would be a very wise investment to handle handle higher revs and prevent valve float. with stage 2 cams you're gonna need more fuel so chipping the ecu is gonna help if the chip adjusts the fuel curve. but its wise to know the parameters of the chip before you install it so you know what its gonna do. also dyno tuning is crucial at this point to extract maximum power gains. if you play with the timing and fuel off the dyno you can do more hurt than help.

yea thats def true...crane cams reccommends new stock valve springs, and thats wat i got so i hope everything is ok for now.

yeah stock new will work, d's have nice valve springs/ light valves.
As far as the chip; i would definitely invest is some kind of tuning.
Im sure those cams call for a higher than stock rev limit, timing needs will be different also.
Upping your fuel pressure is a very inaccurate way of managing fuel; in some places you gonna need more and in some others less..
