Default ECU

the thing i proly know the least about is ECU's, i am about to have mine chipped, but what else does the ECU do beside rev limiter, speed cutoff, and VTEC. I am getting all three of those re written, but is there anything else that i can do just my chipping the ECU? thanks for the help

Fuel maps, ignition maps, CEL's, etc. When I have my ECU's chipped, I usually have the knock sensor and pressure switch disabled, fewer things to worry about.

I've never once had a problem. Of course if you're using a P28, then you don't have knock sensor provisions anyway.

yeah, so if i am gonna get a p28 chipped, what would you recommend besides, puting it to a 8200 rev limiter, moving VTEC proly closer to 58, and removing the speed cutoff, what would help me a lot

basically it is too hard to get a hold of a P30 right now, so i am going to have the P28 re-written to run a jdm B16, and then chip it.... i am doing it through a local shop and i am not sure what program they will use
