I know this is a honda page but my friend cant find his ECM in his 94 Volk Golf...
Thought I'd ask since some of you mechanics know alot.

dont know if this is accurate at all or not but recently did a chip upgrade with a friend on his 98jetta. Again, dont know if its in the same place but worth a try. It was under the windshield coweling, its black on the passanger side. There were 3 retainer pins, similar to christmas tree plugs holding it down. ONce that is removed its right under it.

correct..open the hood and above the firewall is the cowling/grate type thingy, just off centre should be 3 screws/pins, undo these and remove the flap and the ECU is inside.
