Default E-brake light keeps coming on

My e-brake light on my guage cluster keeps coming on. Why? It come on while I am driving while my e-brake handle is all the way down. At first, it just came on when I took turns but now it just comes on whenever. When it's not on and I pull up my e-branke handle, it will come on. Anyone have an answer?

Mine did that once, but that was when I had an 86 'lude. It went away after a while. That car was weird. The blinkers would be really fast when I turned them on, but after a week or so it would return to normal. I think it was the fuses.

Anyways, check your fuses, maybe something is loose or burnt out. Other than that, just wait and it might go away.

Check your brake fluid level. If it is near or below the MIN level mark the brake light will come on.

Thanks guys. It was the brake fluid. I never seen the e-brake light come outta no where so I didn't know what it meant. My friend thought I wired a VTEC light. So this probably means I have a leak somewhere?

Might have a slight leak. The brake pads or linings could be worn down, too.
