dyno tuning questions????????????????????????
my friend just spent alot of cash on his motor and the shop who did all the internal work said he needs more guages before they can tune it on a dyno?
what other guages does he need?
its a all motor b18c1 has v-afc, and fuel pressure.
parts installed:skunk 2 intake manifold,jg edelbrock 70mm throttle body,aem cai,dc sports jdm 4-1 ss header,skunk 2 stage 2 cams,skunk 2 cam gears,fuel pressure regulator,v-afc,greddy evo exhaust,skunk 2 valves,skunk 2 retainers,skunk 2 valve springs,and he had a full stage 2 port and polish with a 3 angel valve job,aem pullys!
my question is cant he dyno it how it is or is the shop trying to make more money off him?
i told him to take it to the dyno shop since the shop who did the work gave him a free pass for letting them do the work, and tell the guy at the dyno shop to tune it the best he can he should be abel to make it haul *** in a few hours dont you think?

ok he has the guage on top of the fuel filter!
and a v-afc so all he needs to be abel to dyno safely id oil pressure correct?

You don't need an oil pressure gauge to dyno your car. It's a good idea to have one all the time anyway though. You want a dyno with wideband O2 anyway, so I don't really see the necessity for the A/F gauge. These gauges are all nice and all, but certainly not required to tune a car.
