hello honda-techies! i'm looking for assistance from all you engine heads out there. i'm going to be taking the EFI101 basic and advanced class, to learn to become a tuner at the end of this month and next, and i want to learn as much as i can before the class starts.

i'm doing searches and studying online right now...but its tough to find information that will break down tuning for me. i know it consists of these dynamics (air/fuel and spark)...but thats obviously not enough.

do any of you know of a site or thread that discusses any of these areas...? i know about------------->pgmfi.org

any additional help to what i'm doing already would be much appreciated!

 

oooook...maybe i should ask...

whats the first thing one should look at when tuning? the car...the motor...the cars you can tune, with what ever software you have....?

just a starting point...that would be great. thanks for any help.

 

i just went through the EFI101 training course and would like to have a discussion with anyone and everyone that knows tuning.

i posted this before i took the class because i was trying to prepare for the class. now that the class is over, i have a little more knowledge then before and would like to trade thoughts back and forth with tuners.

since the class i have come up with this for a starting point.......

1) I need to find tuning software and upload it into my laptop.

which tuning softwares, do you guys find are the most used? how much do they run for?

2) does the wire harness come with the software?

this may seem extremely novice for some of you tuners, but i'm just learning. and the more people that join this thread the more bantering there will be.
