DX to SI wiring problems
ok i got everythin wired up on my sohc si motor, but it wont start, im not getting any spark, and the ecu is flashing codes, 6 coolent temp.,9 number 1 cylinder position sensor,10 intake air temp.,and 15 ignition output signal, which could be the ignitor buyt i put the one out of my old motor in and it didnt make a difference, but shouldnt it still get spark with all that ****? i think something is fucked up, if anyone has had this problem let me know cuz im starting to get pissed. thanks , Brandyn

I think you mixed the two white wires up at the distributor. One has a piece of red tape on it. That is for the ICM.
The other white wire is paired with the orange wire.
I may have mixed this up. I am going from memory.
Go to the Hybrid page and look in the 4G section. I wrote an article on the DX to Si conversion. Has all the info you need.

yeah i found that before i did anything, and i printed it off, now are you talking about the white wires on the distributor?? cuz i dont remember messing with anything at the distributor
Did you rework your DX harness, as in taking off all the loom and then making it all line up with the correct sensors on your Si motor? If you are working with say a 4th gen Civic or CRX you may have the tandem valves plug plugged onto the IAT. This kid i know just tried to rewire his CRX DX by taking the loom off the DX and putting it on his ZC motor. When he called me it was throwing like 6 codes and half of them were just because he put the plugs on the wrong sensors.

im using the stock SI ecu, yeah i tried using my dx harness and yes its a 88 dx and a 90 si motor, i could have them in the wrong spots, i just plugged them into what seemed like the right spots, but i still have NO SPARK and its pissing me off. let me know if you might know something that i dont, thanks , Brandyn
