I just noticed that one of my 450cc injectors was missing the little black cap that sits on the bottom of the injector . . . will not having that black piece cause any major problems, or cause the injectors to not function properly?

Try using the caps off of your factory fuel injectors. If not, get this cap from the junk yard off of any DSM.

There's a thread about this on homemadeturbo.com and everyone says it's fine, that the caps are there just to protect the pintle (or needle, whatever the hell it's called) so as long as you just dont screw up the needle it should be fine. One of mine is cracked and I MIGHT take it off...or just leave it on cracked.
