dry sump oil system????
We have one on the Supra, but no not on the Honda's... Toyota just did a shitty job of engineering the oil system on the 2JZ so we had to change it after we spun all of our bearings from lack of oil at high rpm... Honda's on the other hand don't have that problem unless your rotor cracks... If you want to talk to someone who has installed a dry sump on their Honda then I would recommend Dave (Dturbocivic) but his is on his hot rod car...
That might be a bit of overkill for a street car. Not to mention that the system will run you around 3000 dollars. We run a stock oil pump on our hot rod car and it works ok for us.
Yeah the dry sump oiling system is kida overkill for a street car, but for the hardcore enthusiasts with deep pockets this would be a great setup. The dry sump oiling systems are usually found on exotic sports cars such as Ferraris and Porchses.

and if so!!! I don't have right now deep pocket, but I'm beggining my project, can't swap until the end of the warranty, so I will have enough $$ for it.
who's doing that kind of kit that will be reliable, and that won't passed out at 10K rpm??

Probably not what you are looking for...but my 911 has dry sump and takes about 10qts of oil for a normal oil change
...With most dry sump systems the capacity goes up due to having an external oil tank, and there is more "plumbing" which can leak if not tended to. Are you referring to the moroso system btw?

i looked into the moroso sytem they have 2. single stage for about 1500 and 3 stage for a bout 3000 but the 3 stage is strictly track........why u ask?any info?
i'm asking because I want to get any little hp I can get, but don't want the oil system to leak or stop at high rpm.
second, it seems easier with a dry sump to be sur of the amount of oil, and the looks of it, going turbo so oil is very important.
plus i have more the enough space under my hood for this. it would also alow me a smaller oil pan so I can pass a 3" or more down pipe without hiting the floor!

I know this isn't helping you JSMC but with a setup as extreme as you are considering a 3" downpipe isn't going to cut it... We run 4" and it really has made the world of a difference for us...
yeah i know that that's why I wrote and more
if I can i will put a 4" downpipe, but for now if i'm taking a wet sump system with a smaller oil pan, I don't think 4" will pass, a 3" will defenitly be ok, so if i can get enough info I may include dry sump swap in my budget

kataku when do you say you should need this set up its on a street car makeing 650-675 whp keep in mind its not a true street car it driven rarely i ask cause the old set up was making 490whp and the oil warning light would go on every once and a while when i beat on it
650-675whp with a 2JZ or a Honda motor? I assume you mean Honda as we're talking about your motor... I don't know what your motor is for sure but going off your name if it's an H22 well have not dealt with even one so I wouldn't know about them oil wise at higher rpm... Duc's street drivein (we drive it all the time) B18C/EJ6 is making 712whp @ 8500rpm+ (Mustang Dyno) and we haven't had a problem yet with oil... It has a completely stock GSR oil pump and it seems to hold up just fine... As I said if you're working with a non-B series motor then this may not apply but most everyone you'll find on here does fine making 600whp+ with a stock (maybe a Pro Drive rotor, etc.) wet sump oil system... Just my $0.02
