Default Drop motor assembled into car?

Can you drop a motor from on top into the engine bay with the turbo and manifolds, trans all attatched?

You would probably have an easier time installing the motor from the bottom, than the top.

Yeah but this is being done in a garage, no lifts, only jacks and stands

u can do it.
take off the TB, radiator and alternator; it will make your life easier

i put my motor in from the top, everything was on except the header, which was a 1 piece (not stock)

just remove the radiator and make sure everything is out of the way.

Just watch that TPS-- I typically take off the T-body so I don't end up damaging that piece, which can happen very easily.

And thats all you need to install an engine from the bottom - jack the front end up high enough to allow the engine to be slid in, then just drop the car onto the engine. At this point, lining up mounts becomes a lot easier since the engine is sitting level with the mounts.

You may need to jack the front end up, secure that position with a jackstand, then using a 4x4 for some extra height, continue to raise the front end even higher.

Yeah but id definetly have to take my rear bumper out for that one cause my car sits low

if you have a cherry picker like i do then its way safer to do it from the top. Take off the throttle body have like a friend on each side to guide it in and wala. I'm sure even with the above mention parts still on you could do it.
